Với ‘Lửa Thánh’ và pháo hoa cùng Thánh lễ Trọng thể, Kitô hữu Chính thống trên khắp thế giới mừng lễ Phục Sinh ngày Chúa nhật 01-05.

Đức Giáo hoàng Phanxicô đã gởi lời mừng lễ Phục Sinh đến các anh em Chính Thống.

Người Công Giáo La Mã và Tin Lành mừng lễ Phục Sinh vào tháng ba theo lịch Gregorian. Còn các Giáo hội Chính thống Đông Phương thì mừng lễ Phục Sinh trong tuần này, theo lịch Julian.

Tổng thống Vladimir Putin và Thủ tướng Dmitry Medvedev đã tham dự thánh lễ Đêm Phục Sinh tại Nhà thờ chính tòa Chúa Cứu Thế ở Matxcơva. Thượng phụ Kirill, lãnh đạo Giáo hội Chính Thống lớn nhất thế giới, chủ tế thánh lễ với hơn 5000 người tham dự.
